    Fuel gauge doesn't work

Hey guys! Just a bought a 1997 2500 12 Valve. My fuel gauge doesn't work. What could I do to get it working again?

I heard that it could be the Fuel sending unit or the actual gauge on the dash. But I don't know how to check if it's the the Fuel Gauge needle?

Plus I've looked online for the Fuel Sending Unit and I can't find it. Could one of you kind fellaws send me a link to the part if you happen to know where ones at??

    Thanks fellaws!

Drop the tank, remove the sending unit and inspect the contact for scarring, I get them at the dealer for $75-100

In the past when installing a larger main tank, I found a dealer where they explained how to check that it's working right before installing it in the new tank. Might look in an installation instruction.

I bought from Transfer Flow, but it looks like they don't make the main replacement for mine anymore. So you might need to look around. I'm visiting my daughter so I'm not at home and I can't copy my installation instruction, sorry.

PS: Here is what I found on the internet that is similar to yours. Check your manual for specifics.
