    What's my truck worth?

    I have 98.5 dodge cummins 2500 4x4.
It has several issues most common with these trucks. Cracked dash, transmission is stuck in gear. Electrical problems, ignition doesn't work have wires jumping the starter, dead pedal and several other smaller insignificant things. Engine runs good doesn't smoke(except black when get in the pedal). The body is in fair shape and rear end front end 4x4 works great.

Looking at other trucks in the area if I fixed the transmission, dead pedal and ignition I should be able to get 5-7 grand but honestly I just want to sell it as is but have no idea what it's worth in this condition. What do you guys think?

I wouldn't have an idea, although parting it out, will likely net more $$ but is more work.

My rule of thumb is take blue book value based on the truck being functional/drivable and then subtract for all the work that you would have to pay to make it that way. Around here you could get about $1500.

Like F350 said... You could get more parting out if you have the time to do it that way.

When asking this, it's best to put in some pictures to make it eaiser to answer the question and giving the opinions.

From what I have read, I agree with the others, but having parted out a vehicle once in the past, if you do this, it can take time and energy doing the dismantling and shipping of the parts. Just an FYI if thinking of doing it that way.

    What's my truck worth?

Well my thinking was if I was going to work on I might as well just fix it.

That being said, I think that's what I have decided to do.

That looks like it's in good shape body wise.

Those broken body items can be gotten pretty inexpensively at http://www.partsgeek.com
