Totalled 12 Valve

I'll post up some pictures this weekend, but I finally got my truck on the road. I definitely didn't know what I was missing with this old 12 valve. After sinking $2k into mechanical items, the last on the list is replacing the oil cooler and gaskets. I picked up the parts from Cummins Atlantic today. It'll be a total rebuild/replacement. I want to to it once and be done with it. In the dead of winter, the last thing I want to worry about is an oil filled radiator.

there is just something so pleasuring about driving a 12V I loved mine bought it when I was 16 then sold it 6 years later and just bought it back again. Long live the P Pump

Every once in a while you get a vehicle that actully fits you like a glove and can never be replaced. I have been lucky and had two in my life. This one a one before. I screwed up and sold the prior, but even though all the new once have so much more and such, I can not sell this one. Take you time and enjoy it all you can.

Body work is waiting till spring to finish up. I removed the old oil cooler and gaskets and installed the new parts. All in all it was between $500-$600 for everything including oil and coolant changes. Turns out the old gasket had a crack in it which led to oil being pushed into the coolant.
