Screw him. If we do this right, we can market themHardest part is finding the diesel Genset small enough. It will actually be pretty easy. Making an all wheel drive will be a hassle though. We'd have to do Chrysler Rear wheel drives for cars, any truck will work. Wish I could find a V 5 water cooled diesel.

Have to watch the weight in the front too. Eventually, you can get long cylinder type motors made and mount it right to the body. Double ended, you can make a all wheel drive

Needs to be 3600 RPM. Cooling is a big thing to consider

here is the update and as far as I have gotten in the past couple months ISBe-Day_5.JPGfollowed a change of plans and am using an allison auto i obtained at work today attached to another 4BT ($750) i aint going to complain about it. i have to find a tfer case for it and make driveshafts, but not the end of the world.

and hereNoEngine.JPG Trans and tfer case have been dropped since.

That looks like an excellent deal on your new combination. Can you mount a tcase directly to the transmission or do you have room for a divorced setup? 4 speed Allison trany? Also, it may be easier to fit if you can remove the front rad support and grill.

    Good luck with your project!

actually am going to bolt the t-fer case to the trans, just customize a floorpan so i can sit it up higher and out of the way. I have no need to move the radiator, or any of that. like my fummins there is plenty of space for everything, including an intercooler if i so choose to utilize one. I have a feeling i have to cut the firewall a bit to route the exhaust though. No big deal.
