    Long crank time/Turnover time

I have a 2004 2500 5.9, and I noticed that since I have owned it, it seems to have a really long crank time/ turnover time before starting. I have replaced the batteries, and have also had the Injector's replaced. Has new fuel filter etc... Is this normal maybe? I have a buddy that has truck of the same year and model as mine, but his cranks right up! Any one else ever had this problem? Or does any one have any suggestions on how to fix it, or know what the issue is if there is one?

I'm thinking the timing is off or the pump is a bit light.

Make sure your lift pump is running

Okay I'll get my timing checked out, and my lift pump checked. I don't know why i didn't think of that before.

    Hey It happens

Wait until you are over 60 and see what happens. Ugh

I will be curious to hear what they find.

Throw some injector cleaner in there in the mean time. Have you changed the fuel filter ?

Remember, you heard it here first. LOL

So I don't have to worry about it anymore. I sold it and bought a 2012 6.7. H&S Tuner, MBRP 5" Turbo Back exhaust, EGR delete kit, 3" leveling kit, 35" Pro-Comp x-terrain tires.
