10-12 trucks are rock solid once the emissions come off and properly tuned. If you really want to turn up the power, then head studs are a must with the factory VGTurbo. VGTs do require a cleaning from time to time to maintain proper actuator function. Do a 2nd or 3rd Gen Manifold Swap with a regular turbo and that problem is solved. Finally transmission tuning works wonders with a 68RFE automatic transmission. In your case, an aftermarket clutch will be must for any power increase.
