Well it's a tough call. I honestly only know of one guy that updates the sd cards on units he sells, and I'm sure he is very careful with the package and puts the sd card back where it came from. But there could be others that update it as well and are not as careful. Might want to make contact with your vendor before you install. I don't know. I agree with @RATLIN'HP I would contact them. Another thing you could do is take the SD card and see what software it has on it. Might give you a clue in the meantime till you hear from them.

Wow, even the so called data logging and custom turning can have problems. I thought that was the end all
