Ok, so here is the beginning of the build thread for the raspberry pi carputer.

going to have
GPS
Back-up Camera
Audio FM, audio storage playback (video too) and maybe internet radio
3g/4g internet (maybe)
wireless internet (like connect to home wifi )
bluetooth
OBD II Monitor
touch screen

Other notable mentions Price Under $200

Possible add ins, ECU Tuning (if I get advanced enough) wifi hot spot HVAC Controls


So Far,
Ordered Raspberry Pi 2 model B 1gb with a small kit wifi/bluetooth and the likes
Sainsmart 7" touch screen
OBDII dongle

Need to order
GPS
FM reciever

so I got pi and installed the raspian distro and started to play with it. Now I get to have some fun tomorrow.

Cant wait to see this come together. I think this is absolutely awesome! is this going to replace your cluster? as far as tach and speedo and such? keep us posted. something I always thought would be cool as hell. Just dont know if I could do it myself.

its going to be replacing the stereo. Keeping the dash just for simplicity. goal of the obd II is to read rail pressure, temp, stuff a tuner would do.
