    68RFE Service Interval

Can anyone tell me the service interval on a '14 68RFE.

I'll start out by getting the dirty talk out of the way.

My only other diesel with an auto was a Duramax with a 5 speed Allison.

All that was required of it was a fluid and filter change every 50k.

I did my research before the purchase of my new truck and know that the 68RFE requires more than that (band adjustment) but I can't find any hard info on the subject.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Look in your glove box manual.

    I think it's 35K.

    2003- 3500 RWD Automatic.
S & B intake, BD Intercooler, Pusher Air Horn, MM3 Double R Tuning, Turbo Timer, electric Flex-a-lite fans, FASS 95,
50 HP tips, upgrade to 351 turbo, 3.42 gears, Twin air compressors, air bags, Remote dual oil filters, Hellwig sway bar, Front Winch. Home made Fuel Heater, BD Exhaust brake with Torque Lock. Tons of TLC

So I got the manual and it didn't have anything regarding the trans (mostly about how to operate the electronics) so I downloaded one from RAM.

It says every 60k with frequent towing 120k with out.

I just hit 35k will it benefit me and the trans to change every 40k?

For longevity or will it still crap out down the road?

    I guess.

    It won't hurt.

    Maybe 50K.

We would suggest 40k and a good fluid in the trans makes a difference.

Is there a better fluid than Mopar?

Or any that meet the specs required?

What I found in a Haynes Repair Manual was every 90k or 72 months.

2012 DODGE RAM 2500, SLT, CREW CAB, 4X4, EGR AND DPF DELETE, 35X12.50R20, DRD MM3 Tuner
