Curious about this as well. Madison area for me. We have Diesel Forward and Diesel Specialists around DeForest. I've heard decent things about Diesel Forward but more fleet oriented. Someone told me Specialists has built some pulling trucks so they might be more versed in some aftermarket stuff but I personally have no clue.
As far as dealers go I'm steering well clear of Russ Darrow and Don Miller around Madison. Went to Reed Chrysler in Beaver Dam the other day and had a very nice experience. Hometown dealer, service guy was pretty laid back. This was with my newly deleted truck and he didn't even mention it. Was in for a drag link recall, oil change (very reasonable at $70), and some minor warranty work (back slider window and block heater cord), no hassle.
Thanks for the response! I ended up going to a place called Rock Diesel out in Milton. More performance based and they have a pulling truck as well that's shop owned. Really cool guys. Only had a tune up done but was very happy with the service. They are also connected with an ATS transmission that does all their transmission work and apparently builds a lot of powerful transmissions for them (I think i remember them saying their lead transmission guy was a cummins fan and owner). Seems like a good pair. If i get any work done there i'll keep you guys posted on how it goes.
Welcome aboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay away from ATS transmission they are total bull ****

I want to revive this thread a bit.
Keeping Rock Diesel in mind for future work but would like someone that maybe deals with other transmissions besides ATS. (Revmax or Warhorse)
Has anyone tried:
High Velocity Diesel in Edgerton
Sands Diesel Performance in Waukesha
Called Diesel Specialists in DeForest a while back and they really sounded like they wanted nothing to do with a light duty truck.
Hey, this thread is looking old, but maybe worth a shot.
I'm up in northern WI, by Superior.
Across bridge from Duluth, MN.
Any other IGOTACUMMINS folks around me?
Does anyone have any luck with Rock Diesel building them a transmission?
I'm going to see if they'll work with Revmax parts instead of ATS.
