    Hydroboost Units?

Brake switch failed and in replacing that I noticed my hydroboost seems to be leaking around the input shaft.

It's factory original so 10 year, 210k mile lifespan isn't too bad.

Anyone have any experience in the Mopar unit vs aftermarket?

Mopar is like $800 while the aftermarket is 1\4 to 1\2 that depending.

My first inclination is go with the Mopar since the first one did last 10 years but I'm always up to save a dollar if there's a quality aftermarket unit.

I’ve never had to replace mine (yet) but personally I would stick with the OEM.

Hmmm, not sure I would follow that logic blindly this time.

Remember the idiot fiat guy was running the company the last few years.

2021 Ram 3500 DRW, H.O., bypass oil filtration, bypass coolant filtration, S&B CAI, 4:10’s
    2wd low loc kit.
Reacquired 2001 3500, 5.9 nv4500, dually cab and chassis, 5” straight pipe, edge juice w/attitude. Otherwise all stock…..for now.

That's the flip side I keep thinking about. Yeah the first one lasted 10 years but who knows where quality has gone since.

If I get 5 years out of a unit 1\4 the cost, that's a win in overall dollar terms.

Still leaning OEM but hoping someone has recent experience to push one direction or the other.

Digging more, all the cheap units are Chinese and Cardone has reman units, but seem to have spotty quality.

Guess I'm dropping $800 on a Mopar, at least it will have a usable warranty.
