Thread: P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure Code?

  1. Top Of Page | #1

    P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure Code?

Taking the truck out for the first towing since doing the Hamilton flat tappet upgrade, S&B intake, and the Fleece Cheetah.

Pulling a mild grade threw the above code, which I looked up here.

    https://Mopar1973man.com/cummins/art...formance-r647/

The question is, since I'm pretty sure I don't have one, why is it throwing this code?

I don't have any EGR equipment on the truck, and I've done the throttle valve delete.

    Am I missing something?

The only sensor I can see is the one plugged into the side of the Monster RAM.

Pretty sure that's the map sensor you would have transferred to the intake horn.

Inspect it first for debris and soot.

If I remember correctly, I had to have that one coded out when I added airflow, but I'm not 100% on that.

    Coded out?

    No ****?

Well, I think I certainly added some airflow with the turbo and cam.

I can take some MAF cleaner to it.

Maybe igotacummins can chime in on if that may be the problem.

I'll check that out and get back to you.

The sensor plugged into the side of the Monster RAM is the MAP sensor.

It could be the MAP sensor, but you will need to go through the troubleshooting steps for this code.

    See possible causes.

Re: P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure Code?

Pulled the MAP sensor on the intake horn its T15 bit if anyone is interested.

Was caked in soot when I hit it with MAF cleaner.

I'll keep an eye on it.

We have another 2k miles or so before getting home so Ill let everyone know.
