GDP Grid Heater & Delete Plate Or Monster RAM Kit?

I was leaning towards GDP due to price vs performance, but banks cut $250.00 off for the summer, so I'm not sure now.

GDP - eliminates factory grid heater, same voltage as OE, increased air flow to back cylinders.
    $512.00 heater
    $82.00 Flange
    $240.00 intake plenum

The bad now costs a little more.

Banks - increased air flow, throttle response, and mpg.
    $750.00 - Whole kit

The bad is not as good in severe cold compared to stock.

Some have experienced a line 6 leak; there is no HP gain for the price increase, as generally expected, to the best of my knowledge.

    Thank you for your input.

Unless you need the stock equivalent grid heater, I would go with the Banks kit.

If you need a grid heater that draws the same current as stock and go with GDP, you will want the Heavy Duty Megga-Flo ($399.99) and the Air Boss Plenum Plate ($239.99)

    For a total of ($639.98).

Looking at the GDP website, they don’t list an intake horn for 2019 and up, so you will need to reuse your OEM horn or try to make the (2010-2018) S-1 horn fit for an additional ($419.99) plus a different #1 injector line.

2014 RAM 3500 (Aisin) 3.73 4X4 Limited Crew Cab Long Bed DRW. Oil Bypass Filter, Fuel Filtration Kit, Cold Air Intake, City Diesel Actuator, Steed Speed Exhaust Manifold, Glacier Diesel Intake Horn and 50 Gallon Aux Fuel Tank.

I installed the Banks kit also.

Everything you need will come in a large box.

It fits without issues, looks great, and performs great.

    I'm re-thinking the Banks.

I suppose I did look at the GDP again, and you can kit it with the heater and the plate for $513 (single) or $608 (double).

I just wasn't sure if the Monster RAM was worth getting.

If you're in a cold climate, our heaters provide more heat than the Banks coil heater.

Additionally, with our heaters, all the air passes through the heater element.

The Banks kits also perform well.

Thank you for considering our Glacier kits.

Re: GDP Grid Heater & Delete Plate Or Monster RAM Kit?

I did the Banks Monster RAM with the heater.

I'm not saying it was any better or any worse than a Glacier.

I’m sure both are great products.

    Banks' installation was pretty good.

It was completed over the course of two days.

I won’t say I’m constantly in the coldest weather, but I do run across northern and western NY most of the winter and haven’t had any issues.

Make a decision and run with it is the advice I have, LOL.
