Weight Loss Help Needed ~ I'm New To Dieting!

    Greetings!

My name is Ross, and my RAM has a bad overeating issue.

He has been fine for the last 106K, but suddenly, he started coding on me.

We live full-time in our RV, working with him like a dog.

Normally he does great, but he gave up on us last week and left us stranded in Arkansas.

After a $1745 visit to the Dr., he could make it home, but not while pulling our "home."

Unfortunately, I had to ask a friend with an F450 to come help us get back.

    I have decided that's it!

    He needs a diet.

I am unsure what kosher to discuss in this format, but I need help with the diet plans.

I have researched everything I can, but I am now internet-drunk from the overload of options and companies offering diets.

Oh, he is a 2020 RAM 3500 DRW, HO, Aisin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome, Ross; we are glad to have you here.

    What codes popped up?

Weight Loss Help Needed ~ I'm New To Dieting!

    Thank you!

I installed some mods from Banks about 5 months ago (Intake horn/grid heater delete, boost tubes, cold air intake).

There were zero issues until last Sunday.

We pulled the 22,500lb RV from Miami to Dallas (1300) miles in March with no issues at all as well.

Going down a steep hill in Arkansas under full engine brake it threw these codes and went almost powerless.

    P0401, P0102, P2228, P1193.

I have the AlphOBD setup and I was able to see them, the info about each and I worked on the truck in a Walmart parking lot for 8 hours. Removed the EGR valve, did a deep clean, installed new EGR gaskets because I could see some soot around the base on one side, and pulled and cleaned the MAP and MAF.

I checked my tubes, cleaned and re-oiled my air filter, etc.

I drove the truck around for a few miles, but no codes.

I hooked to the trailer and made it 13 miles, and it threw the P0401 and the P2281.

I reached Fayetteville, AR, and found a reputable diesel shop.

He went through all 5 pages of the diagnostic tree and could not find anything wrong.

Said it might be the EGR temp sensor, EGR valve, or the EGR cooler.

I am $1745 into this issue with an out-of-warranty truck.

Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated.
