    Fake Mopar Fuel Filters!

This video has some interesting and disturbing information on fake fuel filters.

We need to be very careful when purchasing any discounted parts for our trucks.

    Re: Fake Mopar Fuel Filters!

I "got" when I first purchased my truck back in 2023.

I purchased "Mopar" fuel filters on eBay, thinking I was probably buying old dealer stock at a discount price.

I installed the first set, and the truck ran 10,000 without trouble.

I was due for the next change about a month ago now, and have since learned that those filters I purchased were fakes, but I went ahead and used them again as I had originally purchased three sets of the filters from the ebay seller thinking they would be fine since the first set I installed did fine.

They do not perform correctly. I drove the truck several times after filter replacement about a month ago, and now the truck has started surging and missing.

I believe it is due to fuel starvation at high-pressure demand.

According to my MM3, the demand and actual are around 1,000-2,500 psi off from each other all the time.

All that being said, LESSON LEARNED. I am going to purchase new fuel filters for the truck.

    Has anyone run Doc's Diesel?

They are supposed to be OEM equivalent.

They are about $42 cheaper than Geno's OEM filters.

2016 RAM 2500, 68RFE, OEM color match bumpers, SLT and Big Horn packages, Firestone ride-rite bags

    Geno’s.

You can’t cheap out on filters.

Even dealerships have been bitten by knock-off filters.
