Per dynatrac.
Greasing seems to be an option with Teflon bearings. I'll grease mine from now on occasionally but just so yiur not quick to call it my fault i figured id send you their instructions.
Greasing the Lower Ball Joint:
Turn the wheel all the way to the driver’s side. On the driver’s side, turn the U-Joint so it is at a 45-degree angle to the ground. With a flexible hose and the needle fitting you should be able to insert the grease at a slight angle. Repeat procedure for other side.
When to Grease:
The ball joints do not require greasing. They have a Teflon liner on all wear points.
Dynatrac does grease the ball joints prior to packaging. The grease acts as a second barrier against contamination getting into the ball joint internals.
If your truck has stock or near stock tires and is operating mostly on paved roads in mostly dry conditions, then we suggest checking if your ball joints every year to see if they will accept any grease.
***CAUTION*** When greasing the ball joints, do not use a pneumatic grease gun or overfill the joints. The seals are highly effective in retaining grease, and too much pressure can blow them out.
I just found out Carli and Dynatrac are owned by Randy's Worldwide.
An investment group.
UPDATE- I received in brand new ball joint studs from Dynatrac.
The bearings just slide on the studs loosely.
I used my micrometer, and the studs are smaller than the bearings, bro!!
Quality control went to sleep!
I was able to reuse my old lower stud, and it worked great, but my upper was trashed, so I used the new stud and bearing just to put it together until I get word from dynatrac.
I haven't even attempted the passenger side until we figure this out.
I'm asking for all new ball joints and sending these parts back as no more studs in stock.
So that's not an option of try again.
So we will see this week.
That sux normally; they are on top of stuff.
It seems all the good guys sell out to major corporations and go to $h!t.
I hope it gets sorted out for you.
