    Got A ?

Hey yall, I haven't been on in a while, but we added a baby boy to the family in December.

Now that our family is a family of 5, it's looking like we need to upgrade the wife's ride to something bigger.

I'm thinking of trading my tuck on her a Tahoe or something along that size.

    My current truck is a 2021 2500.

We'd keep her little car for commuting to work and grocery trips.

With that, I still need something to pull my camper and do some work out of from time to time.

    I've found a 06 2500 that's got 315k miles on it.

The truck is stock and mechanically sound. The guy has changed oil and filters every 6k miles.

Just got a fresh trans rebuild, and recently, the ac and front end were rebuilt, too.

I can get this truck for somewhere around $8k.

    Should I pull the trigger?

Or should I keep my current truck?

I only use it to drive to work at the moment and the occasional camper trip.

    Any opinion is appreciated.

    Sorry for the long-winded post.

    Thank you, guys.

    Congrats on the new baby!!

It all depends on how emotionally you are attached to your 2021?

Is the 2006 a 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel?
How rusted is the body and frame on it?

I guess it comes down to how happy you would be in a truck that’s 15 years older than your current?

As for getting a Tahoe, do your research on those engines.

I’ve heard a lot of horror stories on them.

Keep us posted on what you decide.

I'm not attached to my current truck much at all.

I love it, and it's a great truck, but I wouldn't be sad about having something that's emissions-free and something I could work on myself a little more.

The 2006 is a crew cab 4x4 slt.

It only needs some work on the seats and tailgate.

    Everything works as it should.
