Hey guys, I was changing my oil and noticed it smelled like diesel.
It was intense, and my oil was black coal.
The strength of the smell makes me wonder if I should have the injectors looked at.
I have the CP3 as well.
Any input would be significant.

You may have a cracked injector body.
If this is the case you should see a clean area in the valve train.
Pull the valve cover and run the engine to check for leaks.

I assume the oil level is rising, and the engine runs smoothly without any smoke out of the exhaust.

That sounds like a good plan; if you do have a fuel leak in the valve train area, it can lead to worn cylinder walls over time.
Perform an excellent visual check, looking for a clean area.
Wear eye protection and thick gloves to protect against any high-pressure spray that could happen, significantly when increasing the fuel rail pressure while idling.
A diesel fuel UV dye can be added to check with a black light to find tiny leaks.
