If you don’t receive an answer on this, I would contact Dirk at MM3 Power.

He is a great guy and very knowledgeable.

Straight from MM3: "Hi John, Yes that one is kind of strange. The engineers that build the MM3 basically allow you to stream whatever the ECM streams. They don't modify the data to show something else. So that is just one of the data streams that can come from the ECM which I am sure makes some sort of sense to the other computers within the truck but not much to anyone else that is going to read it. So just stick with the one that says present and you should be good to go".

    So basically, unknown to anyone.

Not that I need the MM3 to let me know what gear I am in.

If I need to know, I have the EVIC for that.

    Update (2/5):

I did (3) different things, so I am not 100% sure what fixed the problem, but I lean towards the software update.
    1) I got slightly altered (improved) software.
    2) I replaced my Fuel Actuator Control (FCA).
    3) Unintentionally, I had to replace my Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor.

    This morning's drive-in drove great.

Reversing in the parking spot and not one issue.
