WTB: City Diesel Turbo Actuator

I still need to remove my actuator and check the turbo itself, so I'm just pre-emptively seeing if anybody has one of these kits in stock for 2018.

I just bought the truck Friday and knew it seemed like too good of a deal.

Actuator codes have popped up twice now on me, so I'm hoping I can get by with replacing just the actuator.

Anyway, I called City Diesel today, and they're 2+ weeks out.

They said they were checking if somebody had one in stock, but I wanted to check here, also.

I just checked Geno's Garage, and theirs are on backorder until 5/31.

Unfortunately, they will probably never be on the shelf again LOL.

There is a never-ending list of 50-80 people at one time.

However, we offer an upgraded reman unit that has been tried and true.

It comes pre-calibrated as well!

We do have them on the turbocharger that we sell.

The hooligan is ready to go, but we cannot break it apart.

Also, it has been found repeatedly that the turbocharger causes the actuator to fail.

All codes will lead to the actuator because, to my knowledge, the turbocharger does not have any sensors besides the speed sensor, which only looks at shaft speed.

It will never tell you the turbo is sticking causing the actuator to fail.

It's a phone call convo for sure, LOL.

I thank you for your time and response.

I called City Diesel directly today and talked to them.

They are very nice people and educational.

Being a former technician, I got into specifics of my issues and mileage on the truck with them.

Long story short, I'm on their waiting list now and will be ordering the actuator from them, so mods, you can close out this post if needed.
