I got my truck from the shop the other day.
I got it regeared from 3.42 to 4.11, and so far, I've put 300 miles on it, breaking it in.
I have a couple of concerns about it.
First, when I come to a complete stop to turn either left or right, it feels like a posi-track.
You can feel the back end grabbing when I turn.
I'm running 75w-140 gear oil in the rear and 80w-90 in the front.
The shop recommended that to me because I tow a heavy fifth wheel, and the rear end is making a whining noise.
I might wait until it breaks in and fluid changes and talk to the shop about that.
I dont know if that gear oil is affecting the limited slip.
What do your guys think about what fluid?
Should I use it after I break it in, and should I put any limited slip additive in it?
Thanks
