Wassup guys, Evil Fab 2nd Gen swap, is in; does it have to be tuned immediately?
I took it for a drive, and it seems like it’s in limp mode.
Could that be from the truck not seeing the VGT Turbo anymore?

You will absolutely need a retune from going to the 2nd Gen swap.
You most likely have codes on the MM3 or whatever platform you have.
The truck will not sense the actuator, and so on.
I haven't run into this, but you probably are in limp mode.
2nd Gen swaps need the air and fuel commanded requests changed, as the swap flows a ton more air.

I put a BD exhaust brake on mine.
They have a box that emulates the actuator back to the ecm while triggering the exhaust brake.
I did retune for the many other changes, but my understanding was if you had that box, it wasn't required to retune.
Otherwise yes.
