I got the dongle and have been adjusting my stock tune.We could be brothers by your way of thinking.
It's only money and only buys less by the day.
I would spring for the dongle.
Better now than later.
I can't quite figure out how to use the data logger.
I have been just driving normally and writing down parameters for the transmission, so I can start tuning that first.

Where can I buy the dongle, and what software will I need to read and write my tune?
I currently have EFI live and did a second gen swap.
Every tuner I have asked for a quote priced me at $700 +.

You can't use EFI Live and a WARP Tuning Dongle.
WARP is for the RaceME Ultra & MM3 Tuner platform.
We use the WARP software for our customers and let us tell you, it takes time to get it right.
