    New Here - 2020 RAM 2500

    Hi all.

This is my first post, well, actually, the first time I've joined a forum.

I'm not much of a computer guy!

I joined for access to DRD tunes.

I keep hearing great things about Ray with DRD.

From my gathering, it appears the only way is to be a lifetime member here.

So here I am, and I currently have tunes from Dieselrcorp.

Nothing wrong with their tunes, nor do I have anything to complain about other than I didn't get the transmission tunes, and I need it because occasionally I have a check engine code with my tranny 68RFE stuck in 4th gear.

I can clear the code, and everything works as intended with my MM3 tuner, but I don't want it to keep happening.

I keep contacting Dieselrcorp, but long waits are on hold, and emails aren't returned promptly.

Please don't think I'm dogging them because I'm not.

I'm just looking for different tuning with better, faster customer service!

The truck is a 2020 RAM Cummins 2500 with 68RFE.

Any help is greatly appreciated, as i have no idea how to use this forum!

    Thanks - mtnboy

    Welcome!

Unfortunately, DRD is no longer available for tuning due to the EPA.

You may want to consider the free upgrade to a Plus membership. https://www.igotacummins.com/threads...ership-(PLUS)!

I doubt transmission tuning will fix your stuck-in 4th gear issue, but hopefully, others will chime in.

My truck isn’t currently stuck in 4’th gear.

It has only done it twice in the last 25,000 miles since I did some weight loss!

I was advised by a local mechanic that I probably need trans tuning, being my tune is 30 hp above stock.

    Thats why I’m here.

I was bummed to hear that about DRD.

I guess that is what our lame government will do for us once we become free Americans.

    Unfortunately, I don’t know!

I took my truck to nappa to buy an OBD2 scanner, and the fellow at the counter said my MM3 devices would show me the code.

We went out to my truck, and he showed me how to find it and cleared it before I could stop him and write it down!

I was able to get ahold of tech support at Dieselrcorp today out of Canada, and they are going to send me a transmission tune even though I initially didn’t opt for it free of charge, so that is nice!

Get that loaded onto the truck, and I guess time will tell if it happens again.

At least now I know how to see trouble codes with the MM3 device!

Hopefully it works out for you.

If a transmission for whatever reason gets stuck in a gear, I think you may need more to address internally like Bob had mentioned.

I wish you could have gotten the specific code to try and come up with a plausible cause.
