    New Member - Finally Ready To Start Pulling Bolts!

    Hello to the community; I am very stoked that people are willing to stick to and maintain their trucks.

    I've had every diesel platform there is and, over the years, have seen Cummins perform and, more importantly, stay relatively simple.

    I got scared when I sold my 89 First Gen and got into the world of EGR trucks, but I haven't had too many issues.

    However, my friends have run into long-term service issues with the EGR system and all the parts they've added to the Gen2 motor to make it compliant.

    Now, I live in a state that doesn't have any smog laws, and I'm finally ready to pull my two trucks apart and let them breathe.

    I'm not sure which route to take, but I suppose that's why I'm here.

    I'm mechanically capable and have worked on trucks since I was a boy, but the complications of tuning and part matching on the newer Cummins platform can be daunting to start buying without a plan.

    I hope to gain some insight from the community, save some headaches, and maybe prevent a few on your side.
