Thread: Programming Issue After RaceME Install?

I was told this is who you don't want to touch with a ten-foot pole.

They are out of Austria, and they look identical to Raceme Canada.

This is WHO YOU WANT to talk to.

    That's who I have.

It was a tech from RaceME Canada.

It's right from the RaceME Canada website as well.

    Thanks.

Try giving them a call a few times a day.

I was able to get someone that way, and they were pretty cool to speak with and even said really good things about the man we used on here at one point.

I don't want to say any more than that, as he has been targeted enough.

Re: Programming Issue After RaceME Install?

I have a RaceME, and the guys from Canada have always gotten back to me within hours, but I'm onto your issue.

Though not a diesel, I ran into the same scenario with a Dodge Journey R/T.

I replaced the Electronic pedal and the throttle body, all while the ultimate fix was cleaning all the grounds on the engine, body, and the positives on the TIPM.

    I hope this helps.

Re: Programming Issue After RaceME Install?

I got sick, but I'm back at it.

So eventually, what happened was the message center on the truck showed the fuel sensor fail, fuel low, service electronic throttle control, and the lighting bolt flashes along with the engine light flashing, the fuel gauge showing empty, and the fuel pump light flashes.

There's actually about half a tank of fuel, and the truck turns over, spits, and sputters, then turns off.

I dropped the fuel tank and swapped out the sending unit just because I had one, and it's pretty common for it to go bad.

After the swap, the message center did not change, and things are still flashing, but the truck does start and run now.

So, I'm starting to think there's an issue with the ECM.

Maybe from the beginning or maybe from a bad writing process.

I'm curious if anyone thinks it may be the ECM or has a good way to check it.

RaceME has been nonresponsive for the past couple of weeks.

    Thanks again, everyone.

If the P2122 trouble code went away when you returned to stock, it almost has to be tuning-related.

As far as verifying the ECM itself, there's not much you can do other than check all the powers and grounds at the ECM.

You have replaced the APP sensor with no improvement.

If the P2122 code is still present, I will monitor the 5-volt reference and APP signal #1 with a scope to see if either is intermittently dropping out.

I have attached a more detailed diagram of the location of the Inline-Body/Engine/Transmission connector between the APP and the ECM.

    Thanks, I'll look this weekend.

After changing the fuel tank send unit, I also have a P0463 high voltage at the sending unit.

    I get back later.

I'll return to stock and see what I have now.

For troubleshooting information on the P0463 trouble code, see post #17.

Also attached below is the wiring diagram and location of the Inline-Body-Chassis connector.

Re: Programming Issue After RaceME Install?

Thank you. I was under there for a brief minute over the weekend, and when the 5th wheel frame brackets went in, the wires along the driver's side were pretty tight, so I'm going to track that wire stripe down to the plug and do some testing.

Unfortunately, I'm out of town til the 15th, and I'll get back after it.

    Thanks again, guys.
