Honestly, we've left it completely in stock to hopefully have one reliable vehicle.

At 60k miles, it does this kinda crazy.

Well, good news! After a couple of attempts, I got the recovery file to take, and I was able to reload my old tune.

Now, I have a fully functioning MM3 system and vehicle.

Ah, didn't realize it was an AISIN.

    Sorry to hear either way.

I'm not sure where the Ihadacummins part of the forum is, but yeah.

Bone stock has no rhyme or reason or warning.

Anyway, back to the MM3, I got a replacement screen back and installed it worked great.

I tried to load the tune, and it errored out at labout12%, then errored out at about 6% while trying to recover the stock tune, it said.

Now it says it can't start programming the ECM.

The ECM is not an application mode.

I spoke with MM3, and per their recommendation, I disconnected the batteries as instructed.

I reconnected and added a charger.

When I go into the ECM menu, it loads the screen and says to turn it on, but it messes up.

If I unplug the OBD and reconnect, it switches back to the ECM, which is not in application mode.

MM3 says they can get me a recovery file, but it comes out of Italy so that it couldn't have happened yesterday, so hopefully, today.

I'm hoping that the recovery file that was discussed will fix the issue.
Oh dang! Thats not good at all. Glad nobody was hurt.
Glad you got the MM3 to finally play nice.
Keep us updated on what started the fire.

Pleased to hear you were able to get your tunes loaded, big shoutout to MM3 Power and their excellent technical support.

Sorry to see what happened to the stock 2021, thankfully no one was hurt. I wonder if it was an issue with that newly designed grid heater relay? Please keep us posted on the cause.

    Re: MM3 Issue Maybe?

We've taken it in for a repeatedly failing oil pressure switch, and the wireless cell phone chargers have never worked correctly.

    These are only gases.

Maybe something terrible electrical-wise in general.

I wouldn't be surprised if the oil switch failed again, causing a stream to hit the exhaust until the flames burnt the feed line to the turbo, but that's full speculation.

All I know is it's still under warranty.

It'll be an insurance game, for sure.

Fortunately, I could unhook the trailer, cut the race car out, and drag the trailer back with the race car, saving a one-off build.

We lost all of our spare parts, tools, and racing gear but no injuries, and we didn't lose the only non-replaceable item beyond ourselves.
