    Broken Exhaust Bolts?

    #6 sheared off.

Thankfully, it popped the hex head off rather than shearing it off at the head.

What are the chances of putting new bolts and gaskets to take care of it, or do you think the manifold will be warped?

I will check it when I get it off, but I wonder if anyone has done this job without a new manifold.

I had two exhaust studs break on the #1 cylinder.

I replaced the studs and left the original gasket in place; there were no leaks or issues, but I may have just gotten lucky.

Did the studs come right out without too much fuss?

I think I'm going with a new manifold.

The gasket is blown out, and the gap appears to be a little more significant compared to the others, even with a gasket slid in there.

In other news, I found a boost leak also.

QqThe intake tube was rubbing on the coupler.

Of course, RAM makes the coupler with a crimped connection on the tube side.

Has anyone ever cut that clamp off and stuck it in a 2.75/3 inch by 6-inch aftermarket coupler?

I do not want to buy a whole pipe.

The upper stud came out by hand, but I had to use pliers to assist on the lower one, hence the scratches.

Hopefully, your studs will come out quickly. The new gaskets and manifold will ensure a good seal.

I haven’t had to replace the intake coupler, but hopefully, others will chime in.

    Please keep us posted.
