Thread: MM3 Tuner - SD Card Issues?

MM3 Tuner - SD Card Issues?

Hey, fellas, my MM3 tuner isn’t recognizing the SD card; it may be damaged or corrupt.

Do you know if I can buy a new micro SD and move the data from one card to the next (assuming the truck already flashed)?

    Thanks,
    Jules

Check to see if you can read the SD card on a Windows computer.

If you can recover the files and folders, format your new SD card 32GB or less with FAT32, and copy and paste the folders and files to your new card.

If you can’t recover the files without a backup, you will need new tunes.

Also, see the information in the link below.

Re: MM3 Tuner - SD Card Issues?

Good day; thanks for this info, however.

My SD card doesn’t seem to be getting recognized by my MM3 tuner any more, as it may be damaged.

So, I’ve purchased a new SD card; I formatted the new 32 GB card with fat32, added my files/folders, then my tunes and ECM file, and put everything into their respective folders (ECM - ECM, RTG - RTG).

The tuner keeps saying: “SD Card not valid.”

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks again,
    Jules

I'm just curious: have you tried unplugging from the OBD port and plugging it back in?

    Resetting the MM3.

Re: MM3 Tuner - SD Card Issues?

Yes, I just tried unplugging, and that did not work, unfortunately.

I’ve popped the SD card in & out, unplugged/replugged; I just have a feeling it’s not recognizing the card because it’s not programmed correctly.

I only have a few of the previous file folders from the last card, but I added all the required tunes, ECM files, and the correct folders.

Try contacting MM3 and tell them what’s happened.

Good advice from @watersupply189, give Dirk at MM3 Power a call, see contact link below.

He may have you download the MM3 Agent software to create the folders and files on your new SD card.

    Please keep us posted.

Re: MM3 Tuner - SD Card Issues?

Yeah, I had to go the MM3 agent route.

I programmed the tuner via the agent, and now it’s ready.

    Thanks for the insight, fellas,

    Jules
