    5th Gen RAM - MM3 Install?

    I’ve got a question about installing the MM3 on a 5th Gen.

    Mine is 2021 with a push-button start.

I’m wondering if, when writing the new file to the ECM, the push button needs to be in the Acc or Run position.

I did the stock file first and put it on my computer, then the writing of the ecm, but I had it in the ACC position.

I didn’t see any lights flashing on the instrument cluster like I have when tuning my fords.

The writing of the ecm said it was successful, and I started the truck with no codes.

I’m in the process of removing some weight and want to make sure I did it correctly before starting the truck again after losing some weight.

    Thanks.

I believe it is the RUN position without starting.

Thanks for the reply; wonder if it’s a problem if I try to flash the ECM a 2nd time in the run position?

    All sensors are disconnected, though.

It shouldn’t be as long as you flashed it before disconnecting everything.

I’ve flashed my truck back to stock and reflashed before without any issues, but mine is 2016.

Yeah, I felt it needed to be in the run position.

Update: I reflashed the ECM with the truck in run position with all sensors unplugged, and the truck seems to be running fine.

    No DTCs popped up.

    Thanks again for the reply.
