Brand New Truck Throwing Code P2609?

I finally got my new 2022 RAM 6.7L in from a dealer out of state (found the exact truck I wanted), and I drive home, park the truck, cruise around, and realize that I'm getting a CEL.

Plug in the trusty code reader and get a message for a P2609 (No Voltage Drop Seen From Intake Air Heaters).

I thought it was weird, so I cycled the truck and drove it around, thinking it may be a fluke and would go away - no dice.

I feel like I'm going to tear my hair out.

Thirty miles on the truck and throwing a damn code.

The truck starts/drives fine (as you would think), but the light stays and can't be cleared.

The truck is obviously under warranty still, so I will likely take it in for them to mess with, but I am at a loss for words as to why this would be a problem with a brand-new truck off the lot.

I'm aware of the killer grid-heater bolt and thought of this (and checked the stud), but I don't think it would be a problem on a truck with such few miles/run time.

This post is mainly to vent, but any words of wisdom would be appreciated.

    Rock on!

    Congratulations, nice looking truck.

It’s good to vent a little; it takes some pressure off, LOL.

Attached is the troubleshooting information for this code.

It should be a simple fix.

You may want to run through these checks before taking it in or at least do a visual inspection to see if everything is connected.

I'm sure it will be fixed quickly.

    Let the dealer handle it.

Enjoy the warranty while you have it.

Things happen even on new trucks.
