Factory Air Ride System - 18 RAM 3500 DRW?

I'm trying to find some good information on the factory air system.

I can't find anything on putting it on alt height or leaving it in normal when towing.

    I pull a 45 ft 5th wheel weighing in at 20k.

The trailer rides level on each setting.

So does it matter if it's on alt height or not as long as everything is level?

I have the same truck, but SRW.

As best I can tell, it doesn't matter.

I think the alt trailer height is supposed to be slightly more stable due to being lower and engaging the overload leaf springs.

My truck also has rear air suspension and I my fifthwheel is 21k pounds and 44ft long and almost 4k on the pin.

When I pull it I use the alt height setting also.

The truck rides better when in this setting on rough highways.
