Build Or Buy - 68RFE Trans?

So I've been researching these 68s and heard the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I watched a video about how building a 68RFE with all the aftermarket parts is easy.

I’ve looked around and seen Randy’s and Revmax's goods.

Essentially, would it be best to go built or bought?

The build is cheaper until you miss a step and burn up a brand-new setup.

Most diy to cut out the wait time as it's cheaper unless you know what you're doing and can go the supply house route.

Say you want to buy or build a revmax 850 if you didn't need it yesterday.

There's no good reason to build yourself for maybe 10% in savings.

Another thing to remember is the warranty when buying a built transmission.
