    Aluminium Oil Pan?

2015 Ram 3500 Long Bed, 6.7 Cummins, Emissions Liberated.

So my oil pan is rusted out.

I mean, don't touch it rusted.

As far as I can see, the oil pan is completely rusted out while lying under the old girl.

I have been looking for a new unit but cannot tell if they are quality steel or will rust right out here in the PNW.

What are folks thinking about switching to an aluminum pan?

Or is anyone aware of a good quality steel that would save the grass money in the wallet?

Would an aluminum pan hold up to the salt atrocities of the PNW?

I don't rock crawl the truck.

I only drive roads and forestry-type trails, so I don't catch clangs or bangs in the undercarriage.

It's a good thing, too, or this rusty one would be DUNZO!

The key is to have enough oil leaks.

Replace with OEM, and you'll get another eight years out of it like you did with the original.
