Hi, I need some advice/help with my truck.
First, I will say I have had my truck for about a year and have put 5000K miles on it with no issues.
The truck was tuned with a 5" turbo back exhaust when I purchased it.
EFI live tuning has a four-position switch hooked to the OBDII port.
The truck did not come with the tuner, and I have no idea which tuner was used.
Two days ago, I had a cell come on, and \I read the codes.
It showed U010E lost communication with the reductant control module and the P2494 EGR cooler bypass valve (EBV) position circuit low.
These codes were shown as permanent codes and as confirmed codes.
It also showed fuel rail pressure low.
the fuel rail pressure code was permanent and not what was causing the CEL.
This was due to replacing fuel filters two months ago, and the rear spin on the filter was faulty, causing the system to lose its prime.
After replacing the filter and clearing the code, everything was fine.
However, it still had low fuel pressure stored as permanent with no CEL.
After the CEL light came on two days ago, I cleared the two emission codes and drove several miles, and the CEL came back on.
I dont understand how I am getting the two codes.
My EGR system is removed, as well as my def tank and module.
Would this be a tuning issue, and if so, would purchasing a new tune and reflashing clear the codes?
I have a camping trip in 2 weeks and hope to resolve it before leaving.
Edit: The truck is a 2016 RAM 3500 with a 68RFE and has 141000 miles on it.
