Buy the Synergy and list the other one; somebody will buy it.

    I’ve had my share.
This is what I was thinking.

Honestly, do you have any clue what the heck bar I removed based on the picture?

    Not a clue from here.

I don’t pay much attention to the good names of old unless many people recommend it.

If I’m not mistaken, Moog is like everybody else in the auto parts business and either sources from or manufactures stuff all over the world.

    Re: Drag Link Replacement?

So I did install that Synergy drag bar, but the shop still cannot straighten my wheel all the way.

They said the bar is maxed out, but I think they mean it retracted as much as possible, and they still cannot straighten the wheel.

I'm sure I have some pitman drop because it looks like a fairly lengthy bracket.

Should I try to replace the actual pitman arm itself?

I have attached photos of the pitman's arm and the wheel when driving straight after having been adjusted by the shop "as much as possible."

After doing a bit of sleuthing, I think I have discovered this as my pitman arm based on the numbers that appear to be stamped into it when I look at it from the bottom.

What is interesting is that one section says 4-in drop, and another section says 6-in drop.

To my knowledge, I have a 4-in lift, so I'm wondering if this particular arm is possibly dropping the drag link bar too low.

Can I get a different pitman arm from another manufacturer and swap it out, one that is not such a significant drop?

    Re: Drag Link Replacement?

I called Synergy, and they said pitman drop arms are ways to avoid upgrading the drag link bar with a lift.

So he recommended I install a stock pitman arm to resolve this.

If you remove the drop pitman arm make sure the angles match on the track bar and drag link.

If they aren’t the same, you will get a bump steer.

I will get my alignment done this morning.

Pretty sure I have bump steer.

    Very jumpy back and forth.

I assume redoing my alignment will correct the bump steer.

    No.

When you look at the track bar and the drag link, they have to be parallel.

When you hit a bump, both need to move on the same angle not to create a bump steer.

So if you remove the drop pitman arm and install a factory but leave the track bar drop bracket installed, you will create bump steer issues.

I will have to check if there is a track bar drop bracket.

I assume I must remove it and get the truck realigned if there is.
