2018 RAM 2500 - Hiss Under The Dash?

I got a 2018 RAM 2500 and have been chasing this for almost a year.

I have a weird hiss noise coming from under the dash.

If I press the brake, you can hear it go away quickly, and then you can listen to it again.

Same thing with turning the steering wheel.

I’ve changed my hose from the Hydroboost to the pump, hydro boost, and even put in a brand new Mopar pump and did not fix it.

I know people say there’s a Teflon liner in the nose, but when changing it, I didn’t notice any liner plus all the videos I saw with the liner, it was a different hiss that went away when you held the brake, and turned the wheel.

The only hose I didn’t replace was the one from the hydro to the steering box and the actual box itself.

Am I missing something else to look at?

I’ll try and get a sound clip of it tomorrow.

It sounds like it’s coming from under the dash.

I don’t hear anything under the hood.

If we remember correctly, there was a recall on the brake booster assembly.

It doesn’t seem to affect anything it’s just annoying.

Maybe I got a bad hydro boost or maybe I’ll change both pressure lines this time instead of just the one.

When I brought it to the dealership, they told me nothing wrong which is bs because I know they hear it they just don’t want to do anything about it.

Hopefully, someone has had this issue and found the solution.

Does the sound change when turning the steering wheel?

I've heard of problems with the relief valve releasing too early and making a hissing sound, but that was turning the steering wheel.

The valve should only be released when you are turned on the full lock.

I'll brainstorm more.

Yes, it changes when turning the wheel, but I can always hear it idling and pressing the brake.
