An old timer told me to give it a couple of weeks, and it would be ok.

He does this to his and hauls a huge tractor.

The oil on mine soaked right up, and the wood seemed the same as I ran my hand across it.

It's better than replacing the deck on a trailer, so I am all in for taking a chance.

When I get down there later today, I will post a picture.

    Here you go.

The wood was white; now it's dark and protected.

    That looks pretty good.

    Maybe I will try that.

If it gets too slick when it rains, I’ll pressure wash it.

You can probably get most of it off if you don't like it.

My trailer sits outside nonstop, and I don't want it to rot, so I am taking the gamble.

I know they make trailers with adhesive nonslip stuff, but I guess you wouldn't be able to stick it to the wood with oil on it.

    Yeah, mine sits outside, also.

I think I’ll try that method next time I change the oil.

I guess it will be more slick than the way it was before

Here’s my 7-ton tilt trailer after coating the decking with used oil.

It turned out better than I thought.

That's how mine ended up looking.

You can cut it with diesel fuel if you want it lighter in color.

I am out of town right now, so I can't get a picture, but it looks like Watersupply's.
