Help With Trans Part List From 68RFE To G56?

I'm thinking worst case scenario here.

68 was acting up the other day; it felt like it was slipping horribly from a dead stop to 10mph.

I had to rev her up to try and see if it would engage more or if I could hear anything.

I manually tried to shift it, but I was still going to slow to see any difference.

Finally, traffic started moving, and I juiced it a bit; it felt like she was grabbing a bit, and the truck had acted normal ever since.

I can hot rod it and peg boost, but at times " WOT " hits the limiter 2 to 5 times and shifts.

The truck is sitting at the shop until tomorrow for a scan and diagnosis to be done.

No DTC on the monitor; the fluid certainly was not pink or red and had a faint reddish color to it.

The question here is, if @watersupply189 won't give up his G56, I need a parts list to do the swap, other than the trans itself.

The last swap I did was my ole 240sx in high school.

Again, I always resort to the worst-case scenario.

Clutch lines peddle, shifter & linkage, slave cylinder, revision, duel south bound clutch, what else am I forgetting?

    Thanks for the help.

    I'm not a transmission fellow.

You should need a computer and driveshaft as well.

$80k, and I’ll park it in your driveway for you.

To be honest, I’ve never done a swap from auto to manual.

I believe someone here has done this, but I can’t remember who?

I believe I'm just a week, maybe 2, out of my warranty, but I hope he will still cover it "if there is an issue."

I don't have the funds for a Revmax 850, but you never hear any threads about the G56.

It would be nice to shift when you want whenever you want.

    Personally, I wouldn’t have anything but a G56.

I’ve had this truck since new, and it’s the best truck I’ve ever owned.

Keep us informed on how things go, Corkey.

Yep, wouldn't you get rid of mine for anything?

Nothing like the sound of a 2ng gen swapped Stainless Diesel 5-blade S467.7 rowing through the gears!

Well, everything is good for now on the 68.

It just needs a fluid change and filters, he said.

This will buy me time to acquire parts for the swap.

18k miles since I got this rebuild done, the color of the fluid, I would assume, is from everything breaking in.

With bigger tires and decent power, he recommended every 16 to 20k transmission fluid intervals.

It seems a bit soon to me, considering he charges 370 for the job with filters replaced.

Good to hear no major damage!

I thought I would add this, considering I have been doing some research.

May help others down the road.
