Yes, Mercedes Benz uses that same transmission for their large trucks.
Its the clutch that is weak.

Rockies are the king of the hills around here, but the Cascades and sierra nevada range are no slackers either.
The highest point in my state is Mt Rainier; I see it every day on my way to work; it's visible just about anywhere in this area at 14,410 feet.
We have the famous Mt St Helens too, which isnt as high as it used to be (cascade range); we also have a coastal range, and then we also have the Olympics.
The prettiest drive in my state is the North Cascased Highway #20, just past New Halem, then you climb Gorge Lake, Lake Diablo, Ross Lake, go over Rainy Pass, then Washington Pass.
Then down into the Early Winters camp area.
It closes in the fall for the winter and just opened last month, driving through snow on the sides of the highway 16 feet high in areas.
This goes through the Paysaytem wilderness, wolves, grizzlies, and many other things that will kill you.
Not for sissies.

Corkey, is your high point Mt Hood?

Hood is probably our highest point, which is a little more than 11k feet.
Sisters has some good elevation as well, which is down by Bend.
