    68RFE Transmission Hard Shift?

We purchased a used vehicle with DRD tunes already on it.

I don’t know much about it, honestly.

I do not know if I have a transmission tune or not.

Recently, it has started shifting hard if I let off the accelerator, let it coast, and press the gas again around 30-35 mph - the had shift occurs.

Also, when downshifting with the exhaust brake on, it seems really hard.

Built transmission before we got it.

    2017 RAM 2500 6.7L Cummins.

Line pressure would be something to look at.

It probably has 240 to 260psi.

The shifting would be associated with what you're describing.

Increased pressure = less slip, which means less heat, which the 68RFE hate.

On the monitor, it should show on the left side "TCM" and a number beside it.

That is a general assumption you have a Trans tune engaged.

The right side will be the RTR or the sound tunes you have chosen.

If you're skeptical about a going wrong, get a decent scanner to show any codes that the MM3 may not pop up.
