    Maybe at idle?

The original crank sensor got shoved back in yesterday.

I am sending the Standard parts back for a refund, as they are potentially faulty.

I'm awaiting a contact back from a friend who services Cummins with OEM parts to see if he can help source parts.

I begrudge paying quadruple the amount for a Mopar unit; that is probably just a stamped Standard part.

In the meantime, I've another pair of Delphi's on their way to satisfy the cam, and the crank is renewed.

Delphi over here is a brand I can put a little confidence in.

I hope it's not the ECM; I have a repair shop to fall back on if everything fails. (3-hour drive).

I am determined to nail this on the head myself. I am bettering myself.
Did the Delphi sensors fix the issue?

I've not had a chance to fit them yet; the weather here in the UK hasn't been forgiving of late.

I received them Friday; hopefully, I will have a go tomorrow.

    UPDATE:

Problem solved. (For now, knock on wood)

    Pair of Delphi's went in.

Crank and engine RPM remained steady on the gauge, with no fluctuation.

Brief rip around the block, but no issues.

I intentionally left the fault code current and active.

It has now cleared by itself.

Medium cruise down the motorway at about 2000rpm, it remained constant.

Same with cruise at 1000rpm and at hellfire at 3000rpm (Tunnel run).

It seems that either the standard motor parts unit was faulty or replacing these sensors in matched pairs is a good idea.

On the plus side, I now have a Cummins UK parts account.

They wouldn't sell me new crank sensors, only reconditioned ones.

Thanks for the help and suggestions; they worked because I wouldn't have thought about the cam sensor.

Awesome, glad you got it fixed.

Yeah, it seems if one sensor is bad, it will throw other sensors into a tizzy.

    Spot on, much better.

Ignore the throttle position; it's the tune's aggressiveness.
