    68RFE Trans Shifting?

When using the RaceME Ultra with a built 68RFE and the box aftermarket trans setting.

Has anyone found a substantial difference between the box aftermarket trans settings and the settings from DRD?

Are there differences, and is it worth the money to get the DRD trans-tune?

I’ve been hearing that there isn’t much difference.

So I’d like to hear from someone who is using the DRD trans settings and what their experience is.

    Thanks, all of you,
    Have a blessed day.

Anything the Doctor has to do with your rig, you are and will benefit your wallet in the long run and firmness with the shift.

Box tuning is just a generic, let's say, one size fits all.

DRD specifically makes your transmission act as it should.

Crisp shifts, better shifting from, I believe, 4th to 5th, increased line pressure " less slip," which the 68's hate; if you're built, it can jump to 260psi. "Don't quote me on exact psi."

Every penny will, without a doubt will, be worth it.

    Even if it's a $500 tune, much cheaper than a 6k trans.

I wouldn't rely on box tunes.

I'm running his complete setup, not a single issue.

I'm just one review to give feedback; I hope it helps.

Edit: I just noticed you are from OR; good to see another Oregonian with us.

I would stay away from box tunes.

You can’t go wrong with DRD.

    14 RAM 3500 68RFE.

OInitiallyI ran on the RaceME tune.

I think they should stop selling their junk trans tune.

It was slamming my trans so hard I thought I would rip my drive train out of my truck.

Also, my exhaust brake would not operate correctly at all.

I have DRD tunes now, and everything works as it should.

Unfortunately, if anyone is like me.

I wish I had bought an MM3 and installed DRD tunes, to begin with, instead of wasting my money on RaceME.

Also, if you don’t have a built trans and you install the RaceME with the trans tune, which has increased line pressure.

I can steer you to a good transmission shop.
