    Drivers Power Seat Lumbar Issue?

OK, the truck is all dialed in; there's never really any trouble with it, except for the LF axle joint.

I over-maintain the best parts around.

I consider myself a recreational maintenance guy (doing it more often than called for.

    Well, the honeymoon is over.

The lumbar has moved to full knee in my back mode, and I run it flat, always.

    Won't move.

I suspect a switch issue; it failed, motored it to full knee in back mode, stuck there, and either motor failed or switched.

So before I tear into it, I got a new switch coming, Genuine OE.

I figured all dealers with so many in stock are a good indicator.

The fact of motored to full knee in back mode leads me to the switch issue.

So I will post my findings when I get it.

The truck sets outside, warm sun; I do crack all windows a bit to keep it cool.

    Good luck.

My fingers are crossed that the switch fixes it!

Love when things go like that.

The switch is out; with DVOM, it's shorted in one direction (closed) to explain the knee in back mode.

The part should be in this week.

5-minute install, then it should be a closed issue.

I used my AlfaOBD again; I will start an AlfaOBD thread to keep things orderly.

Installed new OEM switch, works flawlessly, no more lump in my back.

Aside from my LH axle joint failing, cab baffles leaking, then this lumbar switch, the only trouble I have had since I bought it new back in 2010.

Sorry for the uneventful repair; pretty basic, but everything is in top-notch working order.

So it's all I have right now.
