    Cummins 6.7L Timing?

Does anyone else notice how little time these trucks are running?

I know the old trucks used to run quite a bit more time.

Does anyone know if we added timing after tuning if it would help with fuel mileage?

What tuning do you have and what kind of MPG are you getting now?

DRD and only 16 on the highway and about 14 in town.

I have nothing wrong to say about the tunes.

They are clean and woke the truck up.

GDP is dirty, but when someone rides you, that would be nice.

It reminds me of the old 5.9L’s that were turned way up

DRD runs clean, which results in usable power.

In the level 6 setting for me, If I'm lugging it, it will add additional fuel, "low boost fueling," to light up the turbo; once it lights, it dials back the fuel trim, which clears right up.

Rolling coal around here gives a lousy reputation unless you compete in a pull-off.

DRD has the best reputation for clean tunes and power where it's needed.

If you get injectors, "if you don't already," will give more peppiness you might be seeking.

I put a 5-gal conductor special train horn kit from horn blasters, which will make tail Gaters back off, LOL.

Get the spare tire to delete the mount and run 2 or 3 wires and a switch, and you're done.

Plus, you will have onboard air when needed.

I am not complaining about the tunes from DRD.

I love the fact of how clean they are.

I just noticed how little timing there is in these trucks.

So it got me thinking that maybe we are missing out on some low-end power due to a lack of timing.

I definitely do not like the rolling coal like some.

I know my old 12 valves were retimed to somewhere around 21*.

Plenty of low-end grunt and not a lot of smoke for the added fuel.
