    RT Files?

Can anyone out there explain RT files to me and how it works?

Why do they stick around when you change from one file to another?

What does the hiss file do?

I have a pretty good understanding of what the hiss file does.

I believe this file may have completely F'ed my turbo/actuator.

Unless it's just an issue with the turbo itself.

    Sound tunes are sound tunes.

You should see codes popping up for a bad turbo.

A corrupt file flashed over from no charger hooked up on a battery, and voltage from the batteries being weak will cause the whole motor to do oddball things.

Whenever switching power levels for a different sound tune, the first resort to level 0 "RT ENABLE" to ensure a tune will cleanly apply.

How many miles are on the turbo?

All the "hiss" or whine tune does is, closes the veins tighter than stock to get the high pitch sound, I guess in a long-time span, 24\7 on that tune could cause more wear on the actuator, but that's far and very few between for that specific thing to cause issues with your turbo.

    Re: RT Files?

Ok, so I spoke with CPS about the turbo this morning, and the said they recently discovered an issue with the actuator bolt stretching.

A new turbo is on the way.

Getting tired of pulling the turbo out, but I have a new personal record at 2:30.

This turbo has maybe 1k on it.

I normally do not run the hiss tune on it.

I only asked because the one time I tried, it shocked the turbo.

I will try to upload the video.

Not sure if you are running the stock Holset actuator or City Diesel.

The City Diesel actuator is not compatible with the whistle or hiss tune.

    Stock Holset.

    Apparently it’s a manufacturer defect.
