    The new turbo is in.

Re-routed the coolant lines and started the Truck.

Set it to 1500 rpm to burp the system, and the same $&@+ again.

Until it reached operating temp, the RAM was normal-ish.

Seems a little on the Smokey side.

Oh yeah, and after relocating, the back pressure sensor melted in half.

Aside from that, Friday will be making a run with a trailer.

That will be the actual test.

I might not have any hair left by the end of this!

    Thanks for listening,

I'm sorry to hear this; I would disconnect the melted exhaust pressure sensor from the harness and ensure none of the wires are shorted together on the harness side.

I understand the PCM doesn’t mind losing the sensor after tuning, but the wires can’t be shortened.

If you decide to remove the pressure sensor from the manifold and don’t have a plug, see the plug information in my post below.

Note: This plug works for the stock manifold where the pressure sensor tube threads in.

After thinking about it, yours may be a different size.

So that last turbo lasted around 1k miles.

Before, two of the four rivets that hold the vain cage together broke off.

At this point, enough is enough.

I pulled the turbo shipped it back to the manufacturer, and ordered a Fleece Cheetah.

I have had that turbo in since May.

    Knock on wood

    Wow, what a mess.

Any noticeable differences between the Stealth and Cheetah?

How is your vane positioning now?

I've only recently started monitoring mine, so there is no frame of reference.

It seems to be about 30% driving around town.
