Tone Of Engine Changes - 2014 6.7L Cummins?

6.7L engine tone changes start to sound similar to a 12-valve.

    Injector noise, I assume.

VGT goes to around 30% actual, and the desired truck runs excellently.

Then the tone changes again and sounds normal.

VGT actual goes to 70%, and desired is around 40%

The turbo is a new drop-in Stealth 64.

I have changed the actuator and have the same issue.

    I am 90% sure it's electrical.

I have been chasing this issue for over a year.

I've replaced the FCA, back pressure sensor, and multiple other parts.

Tuner has tried adjusting the vain percentage, and it's the same as he says it's the turbo.

The actuator works for sure and is not sticking.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Current tuning by RaceME of Canada.

Previously tuned by Diesel Performance of Texas.

    Same issue with both tuners.

I initially replaced the turbo because the exhaust brake would still be on at a very light throttle.

At this time, I was not watching the VGT percentages.

So to answer your question, no, it had been doing it before the latest tunes.

And after the whole three alphabet squad came down on the industry, I had to find a new tuner that would work with me here in the states.

I get one check engine code which is P0934, which I have brought since replacing the trans.

Suncoast said it’s a common issue after removing the thermal Bypass valve.

So I figure it has nothing to do with it.

So you have box tuning on your truck from RaceME?

    Thank you,

No, sir, Custom Tuning By RaceME.

Suncoast Required that my tuning didn't raise the line Pressure, and Calibrated Power has certain Perimeters for the Vain Table on the Stealth 64.

    Are you sure?

RaceME has never done custom tuning that we know of.

    God bless,

According to Russell, The Owner, they have written me two custom files.

Possibly because I had also purchased the Warp Tuning dongle from them.

I have also tried a Calibrated power Towing Tune same issue.

    Thank you

It seems like lousy tuning, as this is a strange issue.

I have even run tuning from CALIBRATED POWER.

I have tried new SD cards.

Hotter days also seem to affect it.

    Thank you,

As you all know pretty difficult to find anyone to tune them . Let alone custom tuning . If I knew for sure that would change it I would re tune it right now .

I wonder if the files could be corrupted or something with My PC. I only use the Pc to upload files to the SD card .

    completely frustrated .
but thank you for any help and info .
