    Rubbing Swaybar Inlinks/Tie Rods?

    Hey everyone!

So I’ve got a 2012 2500 4WD; it’s lifted with an 8” lift and 2.5” puck (10.5”) Dual adjustable control arms as well.

I have an issue with my Swaybar inlinks rubbing my tie rod on turning. Left or right doesn’t matter which side one of them will rub.

I’ve been running with no Swaybar to save the links, but I will still rub where the link mounts on the axle (on the passenger side).

I was hoping to see if you all had any insight into this.

I have played around with how to center the axle (front to rear) using the control arms, and it has helped, but it is not a fix.

    Thanks, everyone!

I have attached some pictures and a video, but we will see if I did it correctly.

Where does the drag link mount to?

Is it on the knuckle or tie rod?

    What is the caster angle?

    What brand lift?

I would like to take a look at instructions.

You are likely going to need a custom drag link and a track bar for that big of a lift.

Or bigger pitman arm drop and track bar drop brackets.

Draglink mounts to the tie rod; I’ve played with the caster angle.

I can’t remember what is current angle is, though.

And it’s an 8” zone lift.

With the drop brackets installed, I shouldn't have to run an adjustable track bar or any different drag link in theory).

Pitman's arm is the same arm they use on the 6-10" lifts.

    BDS, Zone doesn't matter.

See pages 12 and 13 of zones lift D1801.

It describes there may be interference with the drag link and sway bar mount.

It also has a procedure to cut off the mount and relocate it with an additional sway bar bracket, or, as Chris stated, need a custom drag link.

When you say custom drag link, do you mean just an aftermarket, or did you have something in mind?

Maybe far from stock (FFS) either has one in production or can make one for the 10 inches of lift.

Remember that track bar angles need to match the drag link other wise, you will get bump steer.

So most likely will need to match the custom drag link with a custom track bar.
