Thread: Cheetah VS. BD Screamer Turbo?

  1. Top Of Page | #1

    Cheetah VS. BD Screamer Turbo?

I currently have a Stealth 64 from Calibrated Power.

I am looking for a different turbo.

I am considering the Fleece Cheetah or BD Screamer.

I am looking for the good, bad, and ugly between the 2.

Or, if you have something else you recommend, please tell me WHY.

    The truck:
    2014 RAM 2500 Megacab Cummins 6.7L.
Stock except Stealth 64 and 4" straight exhaust.
    EGR/DEF/DPF delete with 82k miles
Currently, I have EFI Live tuning through MotorOps with CSP4 switch and trans tuning.

I tow heavy several times a year. I have a 42 ft Montana with 16.8k GVWR.

I am looking for good power, love a good sound, and want to retain my exhaust brake.

I am open to new tuning and other supporting mods if needed.

I want to do a valve body and torque converter soon.

Did you ever decide on a turbo?

I have a Screamer sitting on my garage floor that is going in my 17.

I can keep you posted on how I like it if you are still up in the air.

2017) 2500 6.7 Stockish..... just a tune, sticks and charger
    2004) 2500 5.9 1098whp..... Nothing Stock

Have you considered going to a fix-blade turbo and adding the BD electronic brake?

I don't think any aftermarket VGT turbos are worth it, in my experience and opinion.

    S300 in a 3rd gen-style setup would be a good option.

I returned my Stealth 64 and moved to a Smeding S369 with a 1.0AR exhaust housing.

    - Happy to be on the food chain at all…
    - Full-Medium-Speed
